About Res-Q
Rescue on every terrain
The name is a play on the word rescue, and the sets live up to it: there are road vehicles, aircraft, river craft and beach lifeguards, all sharing the same team branding. Rather than a single fire station or hospital, Res-Q presents a whole organisation with a base and a fleet. This fits the late-1990s approach of dividing Town into small, clearly branded sub-themes. Almost everything was released in 1998, with one small boat following in 1999. The shared branding means the vehicles look like one fleet when parked together around the base.
The line-up
The headquarters, Emergency Response Center (6479-1), is the largest set at 438 pieces. Res-Q Cruiser (6473-1, 306 pieces) and Aerial Recovery (6462-1, 205 pieces) are the next biggest, followed by River Response (6451-1, 153 pieces) and Emergency Evac (6445-1, 100 pieces).
