Description

A cutaway, not a sphere

In A New Hope the Death Star is a moon-sized weapon capable of destroying a planet. Building it as a closed ball would hide everything interesting, so this set opens it up. You get a framework of levels and compartments that frame familiar moments from the film, with room for figures to move between them. Displayed on a shelf, it reads more like a doll's house of the Empire than a model spacecraft, and that is a large part of its appeal.
