About Ultimate Collector Series
Built for display, not for play
This sub-theme of Star Wars is aimed squarely at adult collectors. Accuracy and scale matter more than play features, and many models come with a stand and an information plaque about the original craft. The series started in 2000 and piece counts have climbed steadily since, with several recent releases passing the 6,000-piece mark. Starships dominate, but walkers and large locations such as the Death Star are part of the line too. These are models that need a dedicated spot at home, and most owners plan the shelf or cabinet before they open the box.
The top eight by piece count
Death Star (75419-1) from 2025 is the largest at 9,031 pieces. Millennium Falcon (75192-1, 2017) follows with 7,541, then AT-AT (75313-1, 2021) with 6,785 and The Razor Crest (75331-1, 2022) with 6,187. Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser (75367-1, 2023) has 5,381 pieces and Imperial Star Destroyer (75252-1, 2019) 4,784. Five of the eight largest sets date from 2019 or later, which shows how far the series has grown in recent years.
Old and new versions
Some subjects have been revisited. The first large Millennium Falcon (10179-1) arrived in 2007 with 5,198 pieces, a decade before its 7,541-piece successor. The Death Star appears twice as well: 75159-1 from 2016 with 4,024 pieces and the far larger 2025 model. Comparing the two parts lists shows how building techniques and part choice have changed over the years.
