Description

A white Imperial ship

Most Imperial vessels are grey, but this one is mostly white, with light bluish grey, black and dark bluish grey as supporting colours. The effect is clean and bright on display. White parts do have a practical downside, though: they show dust quickly and can yellow over time if exposed to sunlight. When you are assessing a used copy, the condition of the white elements tells you a lot about how it has been stored, so ask for clear photos.

Why the shuttle matters in the story

In Return of the Jedi the Emperor arrives aboard a Lambda-class shuttle to inspect the second Death Star, greeted by rows of troops. Later, the rebel strike team uses a stolen shuttle to slip past the Imperial fleet and reach the forest moon of Endor. Its folding side wings and high central fin give it one of the most elegant silhouettes in the saga, and the model builds everything around that outline.
