Two ships, one famous chase

The climax of A New Hope takes place in the trench of the first Death Star, where Rebel pilots race towards a small exhaust port while Darth Vader hunts them in his TIE Advanced. Vader's fighter, with its bent wing panels, looks noticeably different from a standard TIE, and the X-wing with its four wings in attack position represents the Rebel side. Having both in one set lets you recreate the chase on a small scale.

Old grey and sand blue

White is the most frequent colour, followed by black, light grey and sand blue. The light grey is the classic shade used until 2004, before bluish grey replaced it, so the parts list alone tells you this is an early set. Sand blue is a soft, muted blue-grey that appears only rarely in Star Wars sets, which makes those pieces worth keeping if you like to add subtle colour to your own builds.
