The podrace is the set piece of The Phantom Menace: young Anakin Skywalker, still a slave on Tatooine, races for his freedom and for the part Qui-Gon Jinn needs to repair his ship. Standing in his way is Sebulba, a Dug who will stop at nothing to win. Podracers themselves are among the strangest vehicles in Star Wars, with a tiny cockpit towed behind a pair of enormous engines by energy binders. This set captures both machines, so the race can be replayed on a tabletop. It is a rare chance to own both rivals of that duel in one small set.

Two builds, one small box

With 72 pieces shared between two models, each podracer is compact. The parts list shows 28 unique elements, so many parts appear several times, which suits vehicles built around pairs of matching engines.
