Description

An odd-looking Rebel fighter

The B-wing stands out among Rebel starfighters because of its tall, asymmetric wing, with the cockpit mounted at one end. It appears in Return of the Jedi, joining the Alliance fleet during the Battle of Endor. Compared with the X-wing and Y-wing, it is less often seen in toy form, which makes early versions like this one interesting for collectors of the original trilogy. The shape also makes for an unusual build, since it does not follow the neat left-right symmetry of most ships.

Ground crew included

The second half of the set is a Rebel control centre, giving the fighter a base to operate from. That small piece of scenery changes how the set works: instead of a single vehicle, you get a setting with three minifigures, where launches, repairs and briefings can be played out.
