Description

Anakin's accidental victory

The Naboo starfighter is the ship that turns a nine-year-old from Tatooine into a hero. In The Phantom Menace, the pilots of Naboo launch their gleaming yellow fighters against the Trade Federation blockade. Young Anakin Skywalker, hiding in one of the cockpits, ends up in the middle of the space battle and destroys the droid control ship from the inside. It is the first glimpse of the pilot he will become, and the fighter has been linked to him ever since.

A ship with its home world

This set does something different from most mini builds: alongside the fighter, it includes a small model of Naboo, the planet the ship was built to defend. Together with the minifigure, that gives you three elements in one box, a vehicle, a location and a character. The result is a compact display that tells you where the starfighter comes from at a glance. It also makes an unusual addition to a collection that otherwise consists only of ships.
