Description

The battle over Endor

Return of the Jedi ends with the Rebel fleet attacking the second Death Star while it is still under construction above the forest moon of Endor. Squadrons of TIE Interceptors swarm the Rebel fighters during that battle. The Interceptor is an upgraded TIE with dagger-shaped wings that point forward, giving it a sharper outline than the standard TIE fighter's flat hexagonal panels. Bringing the fighter and the battle station together in one box makes the set a compact reminder of that climax.

A vehicle and a world

As the name suggests, the set combines a small craft with a location. It belongs to a 2012 range in which each box paired a miniature vehicle with a scaled-down world from the saga, turning a vast setting into something that fits on a desk. With one minifigure added, the result is more of a display piece than a toy for rough play. It is a clever way to suggest scale, as the tiny fighter sits beside a model of a moon-sized station.

Black, greys and a hint of blue
