Description

Launch pad for the trench run

Yavin 4 is a jungle moon orbiting the gas giant Yavin, and in A New Hope it hides the Rebel base inside ancient temple structures. When the Death Star arrives to destroy the moon, X-wings take off to meet it, leading to the famous trench run and Luke Skywalker's decisive shot. Putting the fighter and the moon side by side, as this set does, captures the climax of the first Star Wars film in a very compact way.

Colours of the Rebellion

Light bluish grey leads the colour list, followed by white, black and dark bluish grey. White and grey have always defined Rebel fighters, in contrast to the darker look of Imperial craft, and the palette here follows that tradition closely.
