Description

The ship that flies upright

Slave I breaks the usual rules of starship design. On the ground it rests on its broad, rounded back, and in flight it rises to stand vertically with the cockpit at the top. Jango Fett flies it in Attack of the Clones, chasing Obi-Wan through the asteroid field above Geonosis, and Boba Fett later uses it in The Empire Strikes Back to carry Han Solo, frozen in carbonite, away from Cloud City. That silhouette makes it ideal for a small model.
