About Racers

From street racers to licensed supercars

Racers was the home for anything with wheels and an emphasis on speed. Early waves focused on invented racing cars and drivers, while later years brought tuner-style street cars, the palm-sized Tiny Turbos and licensed models from well-known car makers. Across twelve years the theme kept changing its look, which is part of its appeal for collectors today: two Racers sets from different years can feel like they belong to completely different product lines.

Large-scale showpieces

The largest set by some distance is the Williams F1 Team Racer (8461-1) from 2002, with 1,484 pieces. Brick Street Customs (8154-1, 2008) is next at 1,021 pieces. Licensed Lamborghini models also appear: the Gallardo LP 560-4 Polizia (8214-1) has 801 pieces, and the road version, Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 (8169-1), has 741.
