Description

A landscape, not a vehicle

Most early Star Wars sets were built around ships and speeders. Naboo Swamp takes a different approach, recreating a patch of wet forest instead. Brown and green are the main colours, supported by old dark grey and trans-clear, a combination that immediately signals nature rather than machinery. That palette sets the set apart from almost everything else in the range and makes its pieces handy for any scene you build with trees, riverbanks or overgrown ruins.

The opening act on Naboo

Early in The Phantom Menace, Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi escape the Trade Federation and find themselves in the forests and swamps of Naboo. There they meet Jar Jar Binks, who leads them to the underwater Gungan city. The encounter sets up the whole story on Naboo, the planet at the heart of the film. A set based on this location captures the quieter beginning of the prequel era rather than one of its battles.

Simple parts, busy scene

Only 21 of the 82 pieces are unique elements, so many parts repeat, as you would expect for foliage, rocks and base plates. The build is simple and quick, ideal for younger children.
