About Space
A family of ranges
Space began with Classic Space in the late 1970s, and over the following decades it split into a long line of factions and settings. The 1980s and 1990s brought Futuron, Blacktron, Space Police, M:Tron, Ice Planet 2002, Spyrius, Unitron, Exploriens, RoboForce, UFO and Insectoids, while Life On Mars, Mars Mission, Alien Conquest and Galaxy Squad followed after 2000. Each of these twenty sub-themes has its own page, and that is where you will find the bulk of the space sets.
The odd ones out
The five sets on this page do not belong to any specific space line. Introducing Crater Critters (1785-1) from 1995 is the largest at 146 pieces, followed by Micro-Scale Space Cruiser (11910-1) from 2015 with 102 pieces. Classic Spaceman Minifigure (5002812-1) from 2014 has 18 pieces, and two five-piece Astrobot figures, Sandy Moondust and Biff Starling, are tied to a 2002 Mars Rover mission. Their parts lists are available just like those of any other set.
